Online critics slammed Simpson earlier this week for getting her daughter Maxi’s hair dyed.
P!nk is not here for your hair shaming. The singer stuck up for Jessica Simpson on Thursday (Aug. 1) after trolls gave the fellow pop singer endless grief for letting her seven year-old daughter, Maxwell, dye her hair with a rainbow pattern inspired by Disney’s Descendants. After the pics of Maxi getting her long blonde hair layered with purple, pink and blue streaks were posted earlier this week, they got some love from the official Descendants Insta account, but also some negative comments about how it was “so sad” and suggestions that it was shame she was “ruining her hair so young.”
P!nk, who has built a second career lately taking zero nonsense from anyone into parent/child-shaming, jumped to JSimps’ defense, with some pointed, hilarious hashtags that made it clear how she felt about other people weighing in on parenting decisions. “I heard people were bummed on Jessica Simpson for letting her seven year old get her hair colored,” she wrote on Instagram. “So we thought we’d share what we did yesterday. #bluehairdontcare #getyourownkids
The pics of eight year-old Willow Sage getting the home dye job came with comments disabled, so nobody could give their two cents, though at press time more than 701,000 people had liked the images.

Not for nothing, it’s not the first time that P!nk and husband Carey Hart have let Willow put some color into her locks.

P!nk has been receiving some backlash about her parenting lately. Last month, fans were slamming her in the comments about taking Willow and Jameson, 2, to the zoo. Before that, followers criticized her for posting a picture of her children as they appeared to be running through the Holocaust Memorial in Berlin. Her responses to both? Nope.
